Emma Wacu » Emma Wacu
I was born in Kenya and never really pursued modelling until I came to the United States in 2000. Like most aspiring and new models, I took some modelling classes which I now know I didn't need. I have had the opportunity to get my portfolio together but haven't had any real exposure yet. I have been through it all as far as auditioning and even did some pageants. I'm the Miss Metro Atlanta 2005 winner and was offered a contract with Elite Atlanta, which didn't go through.

Victoria Njau: Miss Kenya USA 2008 » Victoria Njau: Miss Kenya USA 2008
Twenty-three years ago I was born to a Luo mother and a Kikuyu father. But it was my mother who raised me. I grew up in a small village whose culture consisted of traditional rituals and taboos. The outside world was non-existent. But slowly I found myself introduced to the ways of the modern world. My educational journey started out with me attending one of the most prestigious schools in Kenya.

Rachel Marete: Miss Kenya Universe 2005 » Rachel Marete: Miss Kenya Universe 2005
I am very much honoured to be participating in this year's Miss Africa USA 2007 pageant especially because it helps bring out beautiful, young and ambitious African women who will subsequently shape the way for others by having bright futures. It is also a great opportunity to showcase to America the beauty and greatness that is Africa in helping to conquer the stereotype created by media that Africa is a continent full of grief.

Fridah W.: Modelling Is Not Only A Hobby » Fridah W.: Modelling Is Not Only A Hobby
Modelling is not only a hobby but also my passion and I'm planning to pursue it further. My idols include Liya Kebede, Iman and Alek Wek who are strong women representing East Africa in the fashion world. I have done some modelling in my city and would like to take it up a notch. I like to hang out with friends, shop, eat out and chill with my family. I'm serious about my work, but I also like to have fun with it!
